STAGE 1.
CRITICAL LINKS
On the 27th of September I visited the Chris Killip exhibition in Barrow where it displayed the complete series of his Askam-in-Furness collection of photographs. It gave me physical reference to what elements of his photography I enjoy looking at and how I am able to try to apply some techniques and moods to my own images. It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

EDIT INSPIRATION
Some of Nissen's photography is inspirational to my work too.

For these edits I took inspiration from the slash punk magazines artists Mark Vallen , Gary Panter and Melanie Nissen.

Panter's artwork is interesting aswell.

COLOUR SELECTIONS
In London, I didnt really go in with a 'game plan' or a pre notion to what I was going to be shooting or attempting to document. As I hadn't been there in years, I didn't know what to expect, when I arrived I was surprised by the number of different types of peoplpe; everyone seemed different and complex. I was also intrigued by the tube, a few of my images are in the tube or of it, and the atmosphere surrounding it and how the people who use it looked and presented. There seemed to be some sort of deep, unfeeling monotonous nature to their faces, and this is what I tried to document.
